Anna Swiczeniuk.
A purveyor of images and guises.

I photograph ladies in their knickers
for a living. There are many perks to the
job (pun intended).

Also known as Anna Krohnistic, one half of theatrical DJ duo, The Roustabouts.

A doe-eyed smoke screen from another era.
A disguise extraordinaire; one day a silent
starlet, the next a frozen ukrainian bride.

Preview of Lip-Service’s new Westing Manor Collection available online for pre-order now.  I sooo need that cloche hat in my life!

I LOVE that hat… and I would be intrigued by the coat too, but whenever I look too closely at Lip Service stuff I notice how hideously made it is.

Some stress had built up over the last couple of weeks and jumped out at me suddenly at the end of last week, so I decided to not work on anything serious and just make some self-indulgent little drawings. The result was these 2.5 by 3.5 miniatures. I haven’t worked on watercolor paper in literally years, and I don’t really know how painting tiny details on paper I haven’t had practice on since forever is relaxing, but it worked for me.

The silver fox ended up looking like Vincent Price, and the brunette in the red waistcoat is sporting the haircut I described to my husband as “the hair that was the downfall of public school masters for centuries.” He told me the blond was grown-up Tadzio.

I’ll be selling these babies at MoCCA! Maybe I should do portraits of ladies too.

Reblogging mainly for the leftmost: choice use of color accenting an uncompromising cut. I do, however, love the lady on the right’s use of top hat and cane, and the shoes on all are fabulous.
